Ten Commandment Stone Tablets

I. Ten Commandments of God

  1. I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt have no strange gods before Me.
  2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
  3. Remember thou keep holy the Lord's day.
  4. Honor thy father and thy mother.
  5. Thou shalt not kill.
  6. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
  7. Thou shalt not steal.
  8. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
  9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife.
  10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods.

II. Three Eminent Good Works

Prayer, fasting, almsgiving

III. Seven Spiritual Works of Mercy

Admonish the sinner, counsel the doubtful, instruct the ignorant, comfort the sorrowful, forgive injuries, bear wrongs patiently, prray for the living and the dead.

IV. Seven Corporal Works of Mercy

Feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick and the imprisoned, bury the dead.

V. Seven Sacraments

Baptism, Confirmation, Penance, Holy Eucharist, Holy Orders, Matrimony, Extreme Unction.

VI. Seven Deadly Sins

  1. Pride - unrestrained appreciation of our own worth
  2. Greed - immoderate desire for earthly goods
  3. Lust - hankering for impure pleasures
  4. Anger - inordinate desire of revenge
  5. Gluttony - unrestrained use of food and drink
  6. Envy - sorrow over another's good fortune
  7. Sloth - laxity in keeping the Faith and the practice of virtue, due to the effort involved

VII. Four Last Things

Death, Judgment, Heaven, Hell.

VIII. Holy Days of Obligation for U.S.A.

All Sundays and: Christmas (December 25), Circumcision of Christ (Jan. 1), Ascension (40 days after Easter), Assumption (August 15), All Saints (November 1), Immaculate Conception (December 8). For the Universal Church, add Epiphany, St. Joseph (March 19), Corpus Christi (June 9), St. Peter & St. Paul (June 29).

IX. Seven Gifts of the Holy Ghost

Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Knowledge, Fortitude, Piety, Fear of the Lord.

X. Twelve Fruits of the Holy Ghost

Charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, mildness, long-suffering, faith, modesty, continency, chastity.

XI. Six Sins Against the Holy Ghost

  1. Frivolous presumption of salvation
  2. Despair of salvation
  3. Resisting defined doctrine
  4. Envy of another's spiritual good
  5. Stubbornness in sin
  6. Final obstinacy in sin

XII. Four Sins Crying To Heaven For Vengeance

  1. Murder (Genesis 4:10)
  2. Homosexuality (Genesis 18:20)
  3. Oppression of poor (Exodus 2:23)
  4. Defrauding laborers of wages (James 5:4)

XIII. Nine Ways of Sharing Guilt

  1. Advising another to sin
  2. Commanding one to sin
  3. Provoking another to sin
  4. Consenting to another's sin
  5. Showing one how to sin
  6. Praising another's sin
  7. Concealing, saying or doing nothing to prevent sin
  8. Taking part in, or enjoying results of another's sin
  9. Defending another's sin

XIV. How To Baptize In Time of Need

Anyone with the use of reason may baptize in time of need, but the same person must say the words while pouring the water. Pour plain water on the forehead of the one to be baptized, as you say: "I baptize thee in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

XV. Six Precepts of the Church

  1. Keep sundays and Holy days of obligation holy by hearing Mass and resting from servile works
  2. Fast and abstain on appointed days
  3. Confess our sins at least once a year
  4. Receive Holy Communion during Eastertime
  5. Contribute to support of the Church
  6. Observe Church law concerning marriage
