Hydro Twister
[check out Hydro Crawler if you need an all terrain device, that can operate on just about any environment]
Have you ever wanted a better way of propulsion in the water? One that can't cut up the marine life?
What I call the Hydro Twister is a simple mix of a screw with a fin , to impart a rhythmic motion akin to a fishes natural motion , but with a little more push. It's actual motion is more like an eel, but in the wide body of a fin.
The idea came because of the propulsion method of the Old Chinese Junks, I think it's called sculling, and variations of it has been used down through the years. The pictures on the following page are crude, but show plainly the easy method to utilize it, lubrication is easily applied within the cavity shown in the pictures, the pictures are simplistic as most of my engineering pictures are on the site, as I see no reason to bring it to it's final design due to the various methods needed to use it, and the basic principle is easily seen. I may or may not add addendum to the text and pictures, due to someone not quite grasping what I want to show, one short fall is I tend to omit things plain to me , but not to others. If you have a problem visualizing the pictures , let me know just what it is you want , I will try to impart it.........
Understand, if you want mathematics for as simple device as this, forget it, same as the other simple devices on my site. If I present mathematics for a device , I have tested it in a manner beyond what is normally done such as the antenna presented on the Pueblo Ham Club site, it was another anomaly of electronics , and showed plainly things are not as they seem, the action of that antenna caused quite a stir amongst those who are into such things, they would not try it, and some even called me unpleasant names as it represented the fact that electronics theory is full of holes, and doesn't behave in the manner creative math has laid out for it, as the Coupler/amp shows plainly there is passive amplification, and many problems associated with electronics are caused by poorly designed circuits , that simply don't take into account one of the simplest phenomena, which is opposing vtg. No I will not place any mathematics, sorry, too much controversy in this short life.
